Emma Arkell

I was a divorce lawyer for many years but couldn't ignore my fascination with complementary therapies.  In particular, I love flowers and have a strong sense of smell, so in 1995 I decided to train as an Aromatherapist at the Tisserand Institute of Aromatherapy.  I left there with my Diploma in 1997 and have been practising Aromatherapy ever since.

It was completely by accident that I fell into skin problems. This had never been my plan but my eldest daughter's very severe skin problems took me down that road and I've never looked back.

When I realised just how many people suffer from skin conditions, I decided to launch my products officially and Emma Arkell Aromatherapy began in September 2003.  At the same time, I became a member of The Aromatherapy Trade Council, of which I continue to be a member.

The two products I made for my daughter - the Magic Cream and Little People's Bathtime Fun - have gone on to be used on a whole range of skin problems with great success and have become my two most popular products.   However, I don't just do skin problems - my products can sort out all sorts of things (though the Rules and Regs don't permit Aromatherapists to give details on their websites), but I'm always available to answer your questions if you want to know more.

As for me when I'm at home, I am a mother of three children (plus one dog)
